Howie, the owner of Sticky Lips BBQ, last year was deeply touched by an act of kindness when a gentleman named Art Nowack sent a check and a letter to the restaurant which said, “I know of nobody else better than you that can feed the hungry.”
Art may be best known as being a star player for the legendary Aquinas Football Team during its heyday in the late 40s, and he then went on to play at Notre Dame. Art just recently passed at the age of 89 and will be deeply missed.
Howie says, “In his honor I would like to pass on his generosity to my peers in the local Restaurant Industry during these difficult times!”
