About the Artist:
Singer-songwriter, National touring/recording artist from Long Island, NY. Amanda Ashley, raised in Holtsville, Long Island, began playing the piano at the age of six, learned guitar and also studied violin for eight years. She began writing and composing at the early age of fourteen, and was performing solo by the age of sixteen in local coffee houses. Among her influences are Elton John, and Billy Joel, Mary J. Blige, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Ella Fitzgerald, Fiona Apple, and Alicia Keys.Amanda completed her undergraduate Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in painting and drawing in May 2007 from Fredonia State University in Western New York, which she also performed at local events on and off of campus.
Amanda can be found frequenting the Western, NY music scene as a soloist, duo, and/or with her full band as a TRIO. Amanda Ashley Trio’s second release “Living Dead EP” (2015), is a follow up to their 2014 full length album “Metamorphosis.” A third Trio album is currently under way with an anticipated release in Fall 2017. A fourth promotional performance tour throughout midwest- US is currently being scheduled for april 2017.
